By Benicia Ciara, TMDN

Detroit’s beloved Belle Isle Park is once again the backdrop for one of the region’s most anticipated summer events: the 2025 Belle Isle Art Fair, taking place Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3 near the historic James Scott Memorial Fountain.

This year’s juried art fair features more than 100 artists from across the country, showcasing work in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, and photography. From small handmade goods under $3 to large-scale collectible pieces, the fair offers something for every kind of art enthusiast.

In addition to the wide selection of visual art, the fair includes the Heritage Artists Tent, where seasoned Detroit artists present work that reflects the city’s deep creative legacy. It’s a rare opportunity for guests to engage with local talent in an intimate, outdoor setting.

Live music performances, local food trucks, and a nonprofit-supported beer tent round out the weekend offerings, creating a festive environment for attendees of all ages.

Location: Belle Isle Park (next to Scott Fountain), Detroit, MI

Date: Sunday, August 3 (11 AM – 5 PM)

Admission: Free with a Michigan State Park vehicle pass (available on-site or with annual registration)

Now recognized nationally by USA Today as one of the country’s top 10 art fairs, the Belle Isle Art Fair continues to highlight Detroit’s cultural excellence while inviting guests from near and far to experience the power of art in one of the city’s most beautiful settings.
