Detroit rapper Sada Baby arrested on felony drug warrant in Sterling Heights

Macomb Sheriffs office

Detroit rapper Sada Baby, whose legal name is Casada Aaron Sorrell, was arrested in Shelby Township on an outstanding warrant linked to a traffic stop in Sterling Heights.

According to police, officers with the Sterling Heights Police Department had originally stopped the 32-year-old on Mound Road near 18 Mile around 4 a.m. in January 2025. He was reportedly driving a Ram truck with heavily tinted windows when officers initiated the stop. Upon checking the vehicle’s registration, authorities discovered the registered owner had an active warrant tied to a prior charge.

Following an investigation, officers said they located suspected narcotics in the vehicle. Months later, Sorrell was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance—specifically, less than 25 grams of what police identified as a narcotic, according to court records.

The case remains open, and Sorrell is expected to appear in court for an arraignment hearing in the coming days.
