Detroit rapper ‘Joyrd Skee’ charged after cops find Glock switch during traffic stop, posted video on social media

A Detroit rapper was charged after being found with a “switch” during a traffic stop.

On January 29, 2024, at approximately 3:55 pm, Detroit Police were on patrol in the area of Tireman Ave. and
Marlowe St. Officers observed Deon Andrew Hunter allegedly not wearing a seatbelt.

Officers activated their overhead lights and stopped the car.

As Officers approached the car and began to speak with Hunter, he initially tried to zip up his coat but stopped, according to the complaint.

Officers spoke with Hunter, and he tried to pull up insurance
information on his phone. Officers then asked Hunter to step out of the vehicle.

As he got out of the car, one officer observed a heavy object in his front coat pocket, according to the complaint. The other officer conducted a pat down, based upon
his suspicion that he was armed. The officer felt a firearm in
his jacket, and recovered a Glock model 22 Gen 5. The
handgun was also equipped with a blue machine gun conversion device.

“On January 30, 2024, I observed a publicly posted video on Youtube with the title “*.” I know that HUNTER uses the alias “Joyrd Skee.” …Hunter is featured prominently in the video. At one point in the video, Hunter comes on
screen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with his face concealed; however, based upon his voice, physical appearance, and his shorts, it is my opinion that the person is Hunter,” a federal agent wrote in the complaint.

According to the complaint, agents allege Hunter says “We is out doing switches. Switches. Switches.” and then displays what appears to be a Glock pistol with an extended magazine and MCD in his right hand, points it upward, and pulls
the trigger.

He is now facing charges of Illegal possession of a machine gun and Possession of a firearm not registered in the National Firearms Registration.
