Detroit public schools graduation rates reach new high

The Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) is celebrating a milestone as the district’s 4-year graduation rate has risen by 3.8 percentage points, reaching a new high of 78.1%.

Several high schools stood out for their increases in graduation rates:
    •    Detroit Lions Academy led the way with a remarkable 16.3% increase.
    •    Cody High School followed closely, boasting a 15.9% improvement.
    •    Detroit International Academy for Young Women saw an 11.9% jump.
    •    Central High School recorded a 10.9% rise.
    •    Pershing High School reported a 9.1% increase.

Northwestern High School up at 2%.
