Detroit Police have released bodycam video of an active shooting during a block party that ended in an officer-involved shooting.

The incident occurred on June 1st, 2024, on the block of Trinity, near Grand River and McNichols, around 1:43 a.m.

A shootout erupted among multiple individuals at a block party, resulting in four people being hit. Three females and one male were rushed to a nearby hospital and survived.

Upon arriving at the scene, a Detroit Police officer fired shots at a man armed with a gun, striking him in the leg.

Eight guns were recovered from the party, including two stolen firearms and one with a switch.
