Detroit police are investigating after a transgender woman was found fatally shot inside a home on Troester Street near Gratiot and E. 7 Mile Sunday morning.
The victim was on the second level of the home with an unknown person when the shooting occurred.
A friend of the victim, who was at the home at the time, called 911 after hearing the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing, and the circumstances are unknown.
