Detroit Police Bring Community Together for National Night Out with Festivities, food, & more

The Detroit Police Department brought neighborhoods together on Tuesday for the annual National Night Out, hosting community-building events at every precinct across the city.

From 3 to 8 p.m., residents gathered to enjoy an evening filled with free food, live entertainment, games, and opportunities to connect with their local officers.

National Night Out is a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting police-community partnerships and strengthening neighborhood ties.

From the 12th Precinct’s petting zoo and bounce house, to the 11th Precinct’s flag football games, and even Ghostbusters at the 5th Precinct, each event offered a welcoming space for neighbors to connect with the officers who serve their communities every day.
