DETROIT (MDN)— A mother was arrested after police say she stabbed her 2-year-old in the chest.
The stabbing happened Saturday in the area of 7 Mile & Evergreen.
Police say the mother stabbed the child in the chest and then drove the child to his dad’s house.
“The evidence and everything we have points to she was the one who actually committed this. She did give us a story that it was her boyfriend that did it but the boyfriend was at his home sleeping. He had cameras around his house,” said Detroit Police Commander Arnold Williams.
The child was rushed to the hospital by his father and was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
