Detroit passes ordinance that Allows homeowners to have Chickens, Ducks, & Bees

Detroit residents can now raise chickens, ducks, and have bees in their backyards following the city council’s recent approval of the Detroit Animal Husbandry Ordinance.

This amendment allows homeowners to keep limited numbers of these animals for personal use.

Homeowners would still need to get a permit to own any of the animals.
