A Detroit man crashed into a state trooper while attempting to eat chicken wings.
The incident happened Thursday on
Southbound Lodge service drive at Warren.
A trooper was stopped in the left center lane for a red light. The man then rear ended the patrol car.
The driver was attempting to eat while driving, police said. There were no injuries. The at fault driver was cited and released.
“It is important to remember to focus on driving when behind the wheel.” said F/Lt Mike Shaw. Driving distracted, in this case, eating wings, is a risky driving behavior that leads to preventable crashes. Fortunately, no one was hurt in this case.”
