Detroit’s first dog park and beer garden is coming to the east side this summer.
‘Barkside’ is a dog park that will also include 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, along with a bar serving beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails, and coffee.
“Barkside is a social destination for dogs and their humans to relax and enjoy a beverage in the company of others. Our safe, monitored play yard allows dogs to have fun with their furry friends while their humans enjoy local beers .”At the new location, a paw-fect menu will also be available for dogs to lick up their own “dog beer,” treats and birthday pupcakes.”
Barkside plans to also have dog yoga, adoption events, puppy training classes, trivia, singles mingles, arts, and breed meetups.
Barkside will offer monthly, annual memberships and will also have daily passes. Don’t have a dog but still want to go? Admission is free.
📍It will be located at 7960 Kercheval Ave, near Van Dyke. 📸: Stucky Vitale Architects
