Detroit city council restricts marijuana, vaping billboards/signs near schools & parks

The Detroit City Council has unanimously approved a new ordinance restricting billboards other signs for marijuana-and-vaping products near areas where children gather.

The ordinance by City Councilmembers Scott Benson and Angela Whitfield-Calloway, prohibits them within 1,000 feet of schools, childcare centers, parks, libraries, playgrounds, recreation centers, and juvenile facilities.

The new rules will take effect in the coming weeks once officially published.
