Dr. Ghada Mustapha of Dearborn, a mother of three, who tragically passed away today in a car accident earlier this morning.
Dr. Mustapha was a Brem scholar from Fordson High School and continued her education at the University of Michigan for both undergraduate and medical school.
The crash occurred at 7:59 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Michigan Avenue and Nowlin Street in Dearborn. Officials reported that a 26-year-old Taylor woman was speeding east on Michigan Avenue in an SUV.
She failed to stop for the traffic light at Nowlin Street and collided with a northbound Ford F-150. Dr. Ghada, who was driving the pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene.
