UPDATE: Soft lockdown lifted at Dearborn High School; no threats detected to school and surrounding community
After an investigation by the Dearborn Police Department, with assistance from partner agencies, Dearborn High School has lifted a soft lockdown after the discovery of a shell casing in the building this morning.
Dearborn Police Department responded to the school at approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning after a shell casing was found on the school’s premises. Dearborn Police Department officers alongside firearm detection K9s from Taylor Police Department, West Bloomfield Police Department, Michigan State Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), conducted a thorough sweep of the school.
