A 28-year-old Dearborn Heights man just completed one of YouTuber MrBeast’s most extreme challenges – living in a gym for 6 months and losing 100 pounds – and walked away with over $417,000.
Majd Khader, a graduate of Crestwood High School, was challenged to drop from 324 to 224 pounds without ever stepping foot outside the gym. If he succeeded, he’d earn $250,000. If he left, the challenge was over.
Under 24/7 surveillance, Majd stuck to a strict routine of 2,500 calories per day, 18,000 steps, and five weekly workouts. He dropped 20 pounds in the first month and earned bonus cash for completing additional physical challenges – like timed runs, pushups, and hanging from a bar.
Tragedy struck on Day 85 when his coach, Tyler Wall, suddenly passed away. Despite the heartbreak, Majd chose to continue solo – completing milestone after milestone and inspiring millions.
By Day 178, he weighed 222 pounds and was surprised with a makeover and visit from David Letterman. In total, Majd earned $417,650 in prize money and bonuses. MrBeast called it “one of the most powerful stories” ever featured on his channel.
