A Dearborn Heights man is sending his wife on a shopping spree after winning half of a $262,226
Fantasy 5 jackpot – $131,113 – from the Michigan Lottery.
Peter Kour, 81, matched the winning Fantasy 5 numbers to win half of the $262,226 jackpot. He bought his winning ticket at Belmont Services, located at 22110 Ford Road in Dearborn Heights.
“I play Fantasy 5 every day,” said Kour. “I looked up the winning numbers on the Lottery app after the drawing and said to my wife: ‘I think I may have won half of the jackpot!’ We didn’t get too excited at first because I have been one number off a few times, so we thought maybe that was the case. After looking over the winning numbers and my ticket a few more times, we knew it was real!”
Kour recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his big prize. With his winnings, he plans to send his wife on a shopping spree and then save the remainder.
