Tragedy struck late Saturday night as 25-year-old Kassem Alrubaiee of Dearborn was fatally shot.
The shooting occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Warren Ave. near Southfield Freeway in Detroit. Police report that Alrubaiee was shot at over 32 times.
The victim was driven to Beaumont/Corewell Health Hospital in Dearborn by a friend but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Video footage from the hospital reveals multiple windows shattered by gunfire. Alrubaiee leaves behind his wife and 4-year-old son.
The investigation is ongoing as police work to uncover more details about the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
