Couple dine & dash then hit waiter because they didn’t like the food at Oakland County restaurant

Two people are wanted after a dine and dash incident in Oakland county.

The incident occurred on Friday, February 16, 2024 at approximately 7:40 p.m. at El Camino Restaurant at 2807 Orchard Lake Road in Keego Harbor.

The couple in their 50s had a dispute over the service and food and left the restaurant without paying their full bill.

They entered the pictured vehicle, a dark colored Mercedes, 4 door sedan with a possible partial license plate of DY9003.

As they started to drive away a server from the restaurant ran out to confront them. According to the server the couple laughed at her when she told them they had to pay the rest of their bill. The vehicle was stopped as she was standing in front of it. The driver backed up and maneuvered to drive around her. She placed herself in front of the vehicle again at which time the driver knocked her down with the vehicle, ran over her legs and proceeded to flee.

The server was transported to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.

Anyone with information on the identity of the occupants is asked to contact Det. Robert Barnes at the Keego Harbor Police Department via email or phone. barnes@khpd.org or 248-682-3030
