A construction worker is dead and another is hospitalized after a work accident on Detroit’s west side.
The incident happened Wednesday morning at Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary Middle School on Puritan just east of the Lodge Freeway.
Two construction workers were working on the school roof when they fell into a shaft to the basement.
One of the workers was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other worker was transported to a nearby hospital.
The investigation remains ongoing. @metrodetroitnews
