A Detroit gas station clerk was injured during an attempted armed robbery Sunday morning.
The incident occurred at the gas station on W. Davison near Ewald Circle.
Police say that a suspect entered the location and announced a robbery. The clerk complied and gave him money.
Moments later, a struggle occurred between the suspect and the clerk for his weapon. The clerk was then shot.
He was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The suspect did not get away with anything and is on the run.
