Charger splits in half after being struck by impaired driver in Southfield

Southfield police are on the scene of a crash that caused a Dodge Charger to split in half.

The crash occurred on 10 Mile & Telegraph late Saturday night.

A Ford Explorer traveling southbound on Telegraph ran a red light and struck a Dodge Charger at 10 Mile Road.

Two occupants inside the Charger were reported to be in stable condition despite the extensive damage.

The driver of the Ford Explorer, who was allegedly operating while impaired, and two passengers were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
