A 7-year-old girl is dead after a crash on Detroit’s east side Friday night. The crash happened on Van Dyke near E McNichols. Preliminary, a Mercury sedan blew a tire which caused the vehicle to cross the center lane and hit Honda head-on. Three children were inside the Mercury. A 7-year-old girl was killed.

Police are searching for thieves who stole an excavator then used it to break into ATM in Detroit. The incident occurred early Friday morning in the area of Joy rd & Wyoming. Video from the scene shows damage to the ATM machine. It is unknown what was taken.
