Bricks Thrown Through Windows of Detroit Home in Fifth Vandalism Attack, Homeowner Says

Residents in a Detroit neighborhood say they’ve been living in fear for months as vandals continue to damage homes and vehicles.

One resident told MDN their property has been targeted at least five times since December, including an incident where someone set their side door on fire and another where bricks were thrown through their living room window. Their mother’s car windshield was also smashed.

The homeowner, who shared video of the latest incident, said two individuals were caught on camera around 12:55 a.m. on June 20 hurling bricks at the house. The attacks have reportedly affected at least 10 homes and several cars on Courville Street, between Mack and East Warren.

The homeowner says there are no known motives and that they have no idea why their family or neighbors are being targeted.
