Driver busted with drugs, money, gun during traffic stop on I-696

A driver who was pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt was arrested after police found drugs, a gun, and money in his car.

A trooper was on patrol on westbound I-696 Fwy near Groesbeck Ave in the City of Roseville.

A traffic stop was made on the driver of a Ford Fusion for not wearing his seatbelt. The driver, a 24-year-old male from Warren, was contacted and interviewed. The driver, did not have a license and several arrest warrants. He was placed under arrest.

A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following items were located, according to police:

▪️Loaded 9mm FN 509 pistol
▪️ 22g methamphetamine
▪️ 15g cocaine
▪️ 32oz of promethazine
▪️ 800g of psilocybin (‘magic’ mushrooms)
▪️176 varying analogue pills
▪️ $5,000 in cash

Further investigation revealed the suspect did not have a CPL and was a convicted felon on active probation, police said.
