Woman Charged After She Drove Through the City of Warren and Hit Over 11+ People in One Night

A 30-year-old Oakland County woman has been charged with 18 felonies after police say she intentionally drove her black Jeep into at least 11 people in Warren while her 6-year-old daughter was in the vehicle.

According to investigators, the incident happened on Friday. Warren police received multiple calls about people being struck. The driver — identified as Rachele Ricklefs — allegedly hit 10 individuals and one police officer before she was stopped in the parking lot of the Walmart on Van Dyke Avenue. Police say she also bit and kicked an officer as they took her into custody.

Earlier that evening, Clawson police had contact with Ricklefs. Officers say her 12-year-old son got out of the vehicle and she fled, striking two Clawson police cars in the process.

Ricklefs was arraigned Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, in the 37th District Court in Warren before Judge Edward Servitto. She faces:
• 10 counts – Assault with Intent to Murder (life felony)
• 2 counts – Police Officer Fleeing – Third Degree (5-year felony) and other charges & more.

Bond was set at $750,000 cash or surety, no 10%.

It’s unclear on why she did what she did, but police say she may have been experiencing a mental health crisis.
