An off-duty Detroit Police Officer with four years on the force has been charged today after allegedly driving drunk and crashing his car on the I-75 service drive near Mack.
The crash happened Saturday around 9:20 p.m. when the officer’s car rolled off the exit ramp. 26-year-old Liam Collier had a passenger in the vehicle. No one was injured.
Collier blew a .13. He is charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Carrying a Concealed-Weapon While Under the Influence.
The judge gave him a $10,000 personal bond. He has been suspended from the Detroit Police Department. Detroit Police Internal Affairs is handling the investigation.
