
A father of two has died early Saturday morning in Macomb County after being struck by a driver fleeing from Roseville police.
According to family members, the victim is Alex Habib, a husband and father to a 1-year-old daughter and 3-month-old son. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect was arrested at the scene.
The crash occurred around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, near 11 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue. The suspect was first pursued by Clinton Township police,, according to sources.
Roseville Police then took over, during which the driver reached speeds of more than 130 mph before crashing into Habib’s vehicle.
“His life revolved around his family — he was their strength, their protector, and their constant source of support. Alex worked tirelessly to provide for Danielle and the kids, both emotionally and financially,” family said in a GoFundMe post.
