Suspect arrested in fatal shooting of 4-year-old & teen at Detroit Park

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 4-year-old boy and a teenager at a Detroit park.

According to sources, Detroit police executed several search warrants Wednesday morning.

The drive-by shooting occurred last week near Denby High School, in the area of Kelly and Morang on Detroit’s east side. Police say it began as an argument that escalated into gunfire.

The victims have been identified by family members as 4-year-old Samir Grubbs and 18-year-old Davyion. A 17-year-old male was also shot and remains hospitalized.

UPDATE: A second person has also been taken into custody.
