Woman Removed from Detroit Courtroom After Arriving Late & Making PB & J Sandwich

A woman was removed from a 36th District Zoom courtroom after showing up late and making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich during her hearing.

The woman, identified as Asja Outerbridge, was scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. appearance before Judge Sean Perkins for the charge of open alcohol in a motor vehicle. She entered the courtroom around 1:00 p.m., telling the judge she had received a paper in the mail listing the later time.

Things took a turn when she started preparing a PB&J sandwich in the courtroom. The Judge was also upset about her outfit.

“You’re in court,” Judge Perkins said. “And we’re going to treat it as such.”

The woman was removed from the courtroom.
