Sterling Heights police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead early Saturday morning.
The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. at the extended stay American Hotel located on Van Dyke and 14 Mile.
The victim was fatally shot by a male who fled the scene in a vehicle. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the hotel.
