America’s Thanksgiving Parade returns this week in Detroit

America’s Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit is happening this week!

Voted as America’s Number One Holiday Parade by USA TODAY, the parade will have marching bands, balloons, colorful floats & more — all free to watch.

The parade, which is free to attend, starts at around 8:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28 on Woodward Ave near Kirby in Detroit and will end in downtown.

The Turkey Trot will also take place before the parade. Variety of races (10k/5k/1 mile and combo events)x There will be thousands of participants dress in costumes for the event.
