An investigation is underway after a 5-year-old was shot in Detroit.
The shooting happened Tuesday evening in the block of Planview, near W. Chicago and Southfield.
A large altercation happened outside a Detroit home when shots were fired. One of the shots struck a 5-year-old girl. The child was then driven to a nearby hospital with the mother.
A second person was also shot and dropped off to a nearby police precinct. The shooting appear to be related.
The child’s condition is unknown. The man suffered a wound to his shoulder. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detroit.
