A Detroit police officer was rushed to the hospital after he was shot, according to authorities.
The incident occurred Wednesday morning on Highland St. near Linwood & W. Davison.
The officer and suspect were wrestling during an arrest. That is when the suspect managed to get the officer’s gun and pulled the trigger.
The officer was struck and rushed to the hospital, where he is expected to be okay. The suspect was taken into custody.
