Police identify girl who told police she was kidnapped and brought to Flint

UPDATE: Police say they confirmed this young girl’s identity and there is now no reason to believe that she had been in the Detroit area recently.

“We are currently contacting her parents who live in Flint and CPS is still involved in the process. We are removing her picture from this post,” Flint police said.

Police are searching for a mother of a young girl who says she was kidnapped while in Detroit.

According to Flint Police Department, a woman was approached by a young girl who said that she had been kidnapped from a McDonalds on the north side of Detroit three days ago.

She brought the girl to the Flint Police Department. The girl did not know her address in Detroit but provided her mother’s name, police said.

“We have been in contact with Detroit PD but they do not have any reports of a kidnapping or missing girl. Detroit PD has been unable to locate the mother. CPS has been called in to assist,” police said in statement.
