1-year-old girl recovered safely after Amber Alert issued

The 1-year-old girl who was abducted following a homicide in Detroit has been recovered and is safe.

The child was dropped off by a woman at the Detroit’s 8th precinct.

The shooting happened Saturday around 10:30 PM in the block of Littlefield Street, near I-96 and Grand River.

According to police, the 18-year-old victim was accompanied by a female and a 1-year-old female child. Four male suspects pulled up in a newer model gray Dodge Durango. (Plate:  EAD 187) Suspects fired shots striking the male victim, fatally wounding him.

The suspects then took the kid, Royalty Childs, and fled the scene. She has since been recovered but the suspects are still on the run.
