A man was fatally shot by officers during an eviction in m Detroit.
The incident happened an apartment complex on Manderson, near Woodward Ave and 6 Mile.
36th District Court bailiffs, with assistance from Detroit police, arrived at the location to serve an eviction notice. After knocking on the door and receiving no response, they forced entry.
Upon entering, they encountered the man, who was armed with a knife. The man became aggressive, prompting officers to use a taser, which was ineffective. The man then charged at officers.
In response, the bailiff shot and killed the man. Police report that the man may have been experiencing a mental health crisis.
