🏖️ The ‘Beach’ at Detroit’s Campus Martius has reopened for the season.
Located in the heart of downtown Detroit’s Campus Martius Park, the first and original urban beach offers a sun-soaked oasis.
Now through September, visitors can sit back, sink their feet into the sand, and relax, or have fun in the sun building sandcastles, playing beach games and much more.
There will be live music from a rotating lineup of local and regional bands and DJs performing beachside. Beach Parties will be hosted on the second Thursday of each month from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature different themes, such as Yacht Rock, Country Roots, and Girls Night Out parties throughout the season. Campus Martius Park’s seasonal outdoor restaurant and bar, BrisaBar, has also returned. Open seven days a week, BrisaBar requires visitors to be 21 or older if they plan to come after 9 p.m.
