New high rise apartment along Riverfront is now open

The Residences at Water Square high rise located at the former Joe Louis Arena site is now open.

The 25 floors, 496-unit, all-glass apartment developed by the Sterling group included amenities such as 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, 24-hour valet parking, pet grooming stations, work-from-home spaces, all-seasons pool and outdoor sun deck, private rooftop terrace and sky lounge offer views of Downtown Detroit. The project used no tax breaks from the city.

The company also plans to build a 25-story 600-800-room hotel next to Huntington Place.
