Nine vacant & blighted homes will be fixed up & transformed in Detroit: “West Euclid Gateway” project.
This project creates 20 newly renovated multifamily units, offering affordable housing for local families, according to a news release.
The West Euclid Gateway will convert eight vacant duplexes and one four-plex into two-bedroom, one-bathroom homes. These units, ranging from 1,000 to 1,200 square feet, will feature modern kitchens, laundry areas with washer/dryer, and basements, the news release says
“West Euclid Gateway is bringing much-needed affordable multifamily housing to the area,” said @michaeleduggan “These properties will bring life back to the community and provide quality affordable family housing in a neighborhood that is starting to see a lot of new investment.”
All 20 units will be available to families earning at or below 60% of the area median income, with affordability guaranteed for at least 11 years. Residents will also benefit from the development’s proximity to local amenities, including the Joseph Walker Williams Recreation Center and Henry Ford Health System, according to officials
