A 7-year-old boy was shot in the head while sleeping on Detroit’s east side.
The shooting occurred on Fairmont Street, near Kelly and 8 Mile, around 5:00 a.m.
Police say the suspects fired shots into the home during a drive-by. The child was struck in the head and rushed to the hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. The bullet is still stuck inside the child’s head, according to police.
Eleven people were inside the home, including eight children.
The shooters are on the run, and the incident remains under investigation.
