Two children were injured in a shooting on the city’s east side.
The incident occurred on Arcola Avenue, near Van Dyke and Lynch, early Thursday morning.
Two children, ages 7 and 8, were struck by gunfire while sleeping inside the home.
Police say two suspects got out of a vehicle and opened fire. The mother, father, and other children were also inside the home at the time.
Both children were rushed to the hospital and are expected to be okay.
Police are still searching for the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detroit Police.
