A child is dead after a crash involving a drunk driver in Detroit.
The crash happened Saturday afternoon in the area of 7 Mile and Mound at around 5:00 p.m.
According to police, the driver, who was allegedly drunk, failed to stop at a red light and collided with a vehicle that was carrying two children.
A 7-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, and the second child is in critical condition. Both children were siblings.
The suspect, who was from Macomb County, fled the scene but was later arrested by Detroit police hours later.
