A 6-year-old was shot while sleeping at a Detroit home.
The incident happened around 1:35 AM, in the 1000 block of Bassett, near Schaefer Hwy and Fort.
Police say several shots were fired from a car into the home, and the child was struck once. The child was transported to a local hospital and has been listed in stable condition.
This is the second child to be shot this month. An 8-year-old was shot while also sleeping inside his home on the city’s east side on August 19.
