6-year-old rings bell at Detroit hospital to signal winning battle against cancer

Six-year-old Kameron Nelson reached a major milestone this week, ringing the victory bell at Children’s Hospital in Detroit.

The ringing of the bell signals the end of his three-year battle with cancer.

Kameron first came to the hospital at just two years old. For the past three years, he has undergone countless treatments acute lymphoblastic leukemia, according to a news release.

He was surrounded by his parents, and his two brothers.
