6 charged after kidnapping teen from McDonald’s, taking her to a house & beating her over missing $20,000

Six people are facing charges after prosecutors say they kidnapped a teenage girl from a McDonald’s in Detroit, then took her to a home where she was beaten over a missing $20,000.

According to investigators, the teen had just left the fast food restaurant with food when a group confronted her. One suspect allegedly pointed a-gun at her stomach and ordered her into a car.

The group demanded information about a woman and $20,000 in cash. When they didn’t get answers, police say they drove the victim to two different houses, including one on Appoline Street.

At the home, the teen was allegedly attacked — one suspect hit her with a pole while others kicked her, causing damage to her braces.

The suspects threatened her life and warned they would kill her and her mother if she told anyone what happened.

Officers responded to the Appoline address, where the situation was declared a barricaded gunman situation. Everyone eventually came out, and police executed a search warrant, recovering multiple firearms.

Prosecutors have charged the following six people in connection with the case:
• Tiara Marie Davis
• Tanaya Marie Chandler
• Darnesha Delynn Watson
• Jamarr Reshard Brown
• Jorden Dale-Charles Mason
• Armani Ayana-Toijai Porterfield

They are facing counts including extortion, unlawful imprisonment, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and weapons charges.
