Detroit police are investigating after a 4-year-old accidentally shot himself.
The incident occurred in the area of Fullerton & Dexter on Friday.
Police say that the mother heard a loud noise and discovered her son was shot.
Police say the child got ahold of an unsecured weapon and shot themselves in the hand.
The child was rushed to the hospital by police.
Officers found multiple weapons at the scene. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
