A 3-year-old was rushed to the hospital after being accidentally shot in the face in Detroit, police said.
The incident occurred Friday on St. Patrick Street, near Conner and Gratiot.
According to police, the child’s mother had returned home from work and placed a gun on a dresser. The 3-year-old managed to access the firearm and accidentally shot himself in the face.
The child is currently in critical condition. Eight people were inside the home at the time of the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
