Three people have been charged in connection to a drive by shooting that happened in Eastpointe, Macomb County.

The charges stem from a shooting where multiple shots were fired into a home during a dispute involving the 21-year-old suspects ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend.

Several people, including six children, were inside the home, but no injuries were reported.

On June 27, 2024, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office issued charges against three individuals following a violent shooting incident. The suspects were apprehended after a standoff with law enforcement.

The shooters dad, Derek Lee Morris, 51, has been charged with conspiracy to commit assault with intent to murder and accessory after the fact, among other charges. His bond was set at $500,000, with similar conditions as Fistler.

The shooters grandma, Jaraldine Morris, 80, faces charges including tampering with evidence and lying to a peace officer. Her bond was set at $50,000, also with a GPS tether.
