Two teens are in custody after a gun accidentally fired inside a Detroit high school classroom.
The incident happened Tuesday at Detroit Leadership Academy High School, which is located in the area of Evergreen and Warren.
The bullet hit a whiteboard in the classroom, and fortunately, no one was injured. It’s currently unknown how the gun went off, but it was in one of the student’s backpacks.
In response to this incident, the school say it has implemented enhanced safety measures. They also instituted mandatory security searches for all students upon entering the school building.
