Two teens have been charged after they allegedly were involved in the shooting of another teen to rob his sneakers.
Barry Love, 15, and Anthony Carter, 16, both of Detroit, have been charged with Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, and two counts of Felony Firearm. The juveniles will be waived and tried as adult defendants.
On May 22, 2024, at around 3:53 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to the area of Bedford Street and I-94 for a reported shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers located the victim, 16-year-old Elijah Reese, a student at East English Village Preparatory suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
